Resourcing yourself 101
Are there places where you can find yourself in your life?
Next to a tree? On the phone with a friend? Under the covers?
When I first started to realize how badly I needed to resource myself, the choices I made to do it were not always nutritious ones.
What does it mean to get resourced?
Resourcing is a process where you and your systems (physical, mental, spiritual and emotional) get the tools and elements needed for you to fulfill your intention in the moment and in life.
When we start our walk with a desire for more health, more good feeling, more connection, it’s not a straight path.
We come forward and then backwards. It’s a spiral not a line.
In my Healing Process I have found that coming into quiet spaces where I can really hear, feel and see what’s around me has been helpful to me in finding my natural health and wholeness.
I find the quiet practices in yoga and meditation as helpful tools and practice spaces for me to digest and integrate my experiences.
As a person who looooves activity, it is really not always easy for me to find stillness and quiet. But I can tell you this, the more I resist it, the more I truly need it.
And its a big intention for me in offering this slower and more restorative practice.
Monday Night Yoga tomorrow night at 8pm EST/ 5pm PST.

We’ll move slow, get into our own rhythm, and then bring our sweet bodies, with all of our layers, into a place where our systems can get resourced.
It’s only one of a million ways. It’s a way I know well now. But I still need to practice calming down and turning inwards. It’s not that suddenly the mind is quiet like a placid lake.
With consistent practice we can cut new patterns into our brains, that become neural pathways. This creates more sattvas, a yogic term that translates in our having more peaceful experiences.
Not so that we are checked out. But so that we are checked in, that we can be still when that’s the best we can offer.
And we can be in action when that’s what is called for. We practice so that we have a choice. And so that we have access to our resources.
